LEVANEN INC. IS A WELL ROUNDED COMPANY, able to perform both thinning and clear cut harvest on all types of ground. We hold ourselves and our employees to high standards while handling and manufacturing logs, as we harvest not only our own timber, but also timber for others. Because of the extensive training of our operators on and off the job, and the one-on-one communication on each harvest, we are able to achieve these standards. Our goal is to provide you with the highest quality end product, while adhering to strict safety and environmental requirements.
LOGGING IN THE LEVANEN FAMILY, started in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan, migrating to the west coast at Glide, OR in 1952. Here, Raymond Levanen started with a Cat 9U D6 cable blade dozer. In the early nineteen sixties, Ray and his partner were presented with the opportunity to own and operate a rock pit around Vancouver, WA. They ran the rock pit as well as logging until 1967 when they dissolved the partnership. Ray kept the logging side of the business and raised his three boys in and around the industry. Raymond Levanen Logging was primarily a ground based logging operation managing private area tree farms.
